About

This section explains about the concepts of TCGs and how to play them. If you're used to playing in a TCG in real life most of this will probably sound familiar, yet reading through it will help you understand what's the difference with the online version of the game.

TCG?

TCG's (Trading Card Game) were originally brought about by Calico online. After that there has been a boom of online TCGs with each his own special theme and games.
This TCG is no different in you'll gain levels depending on the amount of cards you have in your deck, earning you rewards. You'll display your current level using a banner. The levels go as follows:

  • Dai Zero Wa : Waiting to be added
  • Dai Ichi Wa : 0-150
  • Dai Ni Wa : 151-300
  • Dai San Wa : 301-450
  • Dai Yon Wa : 451-600
  • Dai Go Wa : 601-750
  • Dai Roku Wa : 751-900
  • Dai Nana Wa : 901-1050
  • Dai Hachi Wa : 1051-1200
  • Dai Kyuu Wa : 1201-1350
  • Dai Juu Wa: 1350+

When you level up to any level you will get one choice card, and 3 random cards.

Gaining

There are different ways to gain more cards to come closer to your goal to master your favorite decks. I'll explain now how you can do that.

Join: First and for most when you join you will get 2 random cards from your deck of choice and 4 random cards in the starter pack to start your collection.

Games: There are many games offered on this site that will give you cards when you accomplish the tasks they ask of you. A lot of the games are password protected and will take you to rewards that you can add right away to your collection (please don't press refresh and play only once per round!). On how to play the games you can always check the Games help page.

Level up: You'll recieve 1 choice card and 3 random cards each time you move up a level. After reaching the highest level you'll receive the level up reward after every 500 new cards.

Donate: You can get cards from donating banners, buttons, and pictures for card decks. More information can be found here.

Mastering: When you master you'll receive a master badge, 2 random cards and 2 choice cards. Once you've mastered a deck you may no longer trade any of the cards from that deck. Mastered Deck cards however do still count towards your card total.
It will also be able to master special decks and member card decks once they reach 20 cards.

Referrals: For every person you refer you will get 2 random cards. It will help to extend the fun in trading and playing at the tcg.

Birthday: We like to celebrate your birthday by giving you 1 choice card and 3 random. You can always take your reward at the Birthday page.

Freebies: I will randomly give away freebies which will be one of the easiest way to get cards. I will randomly add freebies to the updates. But there are also freebie games. So also keep a close eye on those.

Coupons

While playing games, you're also able to receive coupons. These coupons can be traded in the Coupons exchange or you can use them to trade for other certificates and cards that you may need more. We only have three coupons: choice, special, and random.

What your website should have on it.

Your website is the place where you display all your cards. If you don't have one, try Freewebs or Geocities to get a free one. It must contain certain things:

  • A level badge displaying your current level.
  • A link back to Whispers (one common way to do this is to make your level badge a link here).
  • Your member name, as it is displayed on the Members page.
  • Your current card count.
  • The card set(s) that you are currently collecting.
  • The card set(s) that you are willing to trade with other players.
  • A detailed Trade Log which contains dated entries stating how you obtained the cards in your collection.
  • Some way of contacting you for trades. Usually either an email address, or a form.

Other common things you might want to include on your Trading Post are:

  • A section for cards that you might trade, but only for cards that you need for a collecting set.
  • A pending section, for cards that you have offered to someone for trade, but haven't heard back about yet.
  • Any mastered badges you might have gotten.
  • A section for the praizes that you have collected through games.
